CFS Die Casting Capabilities
:
High Pressure Die CastingHigh Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) is a widely used method for producing aluminum castings with high precision and efficiency. In this process, molten aluminum is injected into a metal mold at a high pressure, typically ranging from 2000 to 20,000 psi, using a hydraulic or mechanical press. The intense pressure ensures that the aluminum fills the mold cavities completely and solidifies rapidly, resulting in castings with fine surface finishes and intricate details. HPDC is commonly employed for manufacturing complex and high-volume aluminum die casting components in industries like automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics.
Low Pressure Die CastingLow Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) is another technique for producing aluminum castings, particularly suited for components that require high structural integrity and superior surface finishes. In LPDC, a sealed furnace containing molten aluminum is connected to a metallic mold through a riser tube. A low pressure of around 1 to 15 psi is applied to the furnace, forcing the molten metal to rise into the mold cavity, displacing any trapped gases. This method allows for minimal turbulence and reduced porosity, resulting in high-quality castings suitable for critical applications like engine blocks and structural components in the automotive and aerospace industries.
Gravity Die CastingGravity Die Casting, also known as
permanent mold casting, is a versatile method used to produce aluminum castings that balances cost-effectiveness and quality. In this process, a reusable metallic mold is preheated and coated with a release agent. Molten aluminum is then poured into the mold under the force of gravity, allowing it to fill the cavity and solidify. Gravity Die Casting offers good dimensional accuracy and surface finish, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including decorative and structural components in industries such as automotive, lighting, and general engineering. Its simplicity and lower equipment costs make it an attractive choice for small to medium production runs.
