What time should I show up to my appointment?
You need to show up one (1) hour before your counseling appointment.
Is counseling mandatory?
Unless you have private insurance or are a self-pay patient, counseling is mandatory. However, if you have private insurance or are self-pay, counseling is optional.
What other services that is offered at 2nd Chance?
Here at 2nd Chance we offer group and individual counseling, support, and Targeted Case Management.
Can I take benzodiazepines and Suboxone at the same time?
Unless you have a psychiatrist’s note, you cannot take benzodiazepines at the same time as Suboxone. Please consult a physician or provider for more information on your personal situation.
Can 2nd Chance prescribe Subutex?
Yes, but only if you have a doctor’s note stating that you are allergic to Suboxone or if you are pregnant.
If I’m a new patient, how long is the first visit?
A typical visit for a new patient is around three to six hours. During this initial appointment, you cannot leave, so please come prepared! We do provide water and coffee on site.
If I’m pregnant, can I still go to 2nd Chance?
Yes, if you are pregnant you can still come to 2nd Chance. We recommend that you make your appointment with an addictionologist, but please call for further details.
How much would I have to pay if I had private insurance or no insurance?
You would have to pay $370 for the first month, then $320 for months after.
Can I go to 2nd Chance if I have private insurance or no insurance?
Yes, if you have private insurance or no insurance you can still come to 2nd Chance.
What insurances does 2nd Chance take?
We accept Passport, Anthem, Humana, and Aetna, and Wellcare at this time
What do I need to bring for my first appointment?
For your first appointment you need to bring a valid photo ID (i.e. driver’s license or passport) and your insurance card.
Does 2nd Chance take walk-in appointments?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome from 8am-10am, Monday through Friday.
Do I have to bring my ID to my appointments?
Yes, please bring your valid ID to all your appointments.
