He went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training, then completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy (endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) at Yale University’s Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
