Hello! My name is Teresa. I am a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist who obtained a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. I graduated with a major in dietetics and minor in psychology and continued on to Ohio State University for my dietetic internship. My love for nutrition started in high school from my track coach who encouraged us to stay “Happy, Healthy and Hungry.” This motto, which stems from positive mental and physiological health, is what I’ve shaped my nutrition philosophy around today. Food is personal, which is why nutritional guidance is not a “one size fits all approach.” Everyone’s bodies are different and my goal is to help clients achieve their healthiest and happiest selves through personalized nutrition counseling.

In addition to exploring the world of nutrition, I also enjoy traveling the world, exercising, writing, and being with my big family. I am a blogger for the Chicago Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics group and am excited to use this platform to spread healthy and positive nutrition messages. Exploring the world outside my own and immersing in other cultures has helped me grow into the person I am today. I realized that, while everybody has different backgrounds and bodies, many goals revolve around being happy, healthy and fueling that hunger.
