Reach Resource Services provides four services REACH, Traverse Place, Street Outreach, and Rapid Rehousing.
REACH is a shelter for runaway, homeless, and youth in crisis. It is designed for individuals who have left their homes due to various reasons, including abuse, neglect, and/or conflict. It provides free housing for 21 days, and free support services to youth that are aged 10 to 17. Outpatient counseling is also available for youth up to 90 days who are not in need of shelter but experience family and/or individual conflicts.
Traverse Place is a 21-month program for young adults ages 16-21. Traverse Place offers safe and stable housing and assists youth in exploring housing options, employment support, educational pursuits, and developing life skills.
Street Outreach offers services to individuals or families of any age youth who are experiencing homelessness, lack stable housing, and/or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Street Outreach offers direct referrals to local resources and can also provide basic needs services for persons on the streets, such as water, non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, bus passes, laundry cards, and clothing.
Rapid Rehousing is designed to provide housing to youth between the ages of 18 and 25 and their minor children who identify as homeless for up to one year. Staff support the youth through case management in obtaining housing, landlord-tenant relationships, housing retention, and employment support. The youth participant becomes the leaseholder of the housing they acquire.
