Bio-One was there for me when I didn’t know what to do. Nobody had heard from my brother for a little while and when we went to his house we found that he had passed. The coroner suggested I call a biohazard company to help cleanup since it had been a couple of weeks since he died and they said it was not something we should see or clean up ourselves. I searched the internet on my phone and found bio-one. The owner of the company answered the phone at 10pm, which surprised me. He was understanding and explained the process and met me at my brother’s house the next morning and was on time, which is rare in today’s world. He and his partner cleaned the room and filed a claim with his insurance company who paid for the cleanup. I am so glad that I found Alan and bio-one. They made a stressful situation easier and took a huge weight off of my shoulders so I could focus on my family and other important maters. Thank you for the great service you provide and for doing what you do.

i live in nyc. my uncle lived in irvine, ca. when he passed, i was named trustee of his estate.
i traveled to california in late november. when i saw the condition of hoarding inside my uncle's house, i had no idea what to do. i was shocked. i will admit i chose bio-one somewhat randomly. i read reviews here on yelp and took a chance. figured i'd get an estimate and if the guys seemed shady, i'd move on to the next one. alan answered the phone right away and scheduled a site visit almost immediately. i explained that not only was there a severe hoarding issue, but since my uncle was ex PD and ex military, i knew there would be a number of weapons in the house, but not where. alan calmly took me through how they would approach the mess within the house and also explained how his core team were ex-military and would be sure to quickly disarm any loaded weapon. barely able to open the front door because of debris, alan's bio-one team entered the house and quickly assessed the condition. they explained how long it would take, how the day would go, what their process was, how many dumpsters they felt were needed, etc. needless to say, they were extremely thorough. i received an estimate the next day that was for far less $$ than i'd expected and far less time (2 days) than i'd expected. i told alan i'd travel back out in december. we set up guidelines as to what to look for and save in the mess and said we'd set up a date for me to return. alan was incredibly accommodating when it came to scheduling. mid december my family and i traveled out. i have to admit, i was dreading it. the bio-one core team could not have made my mom and i feel more comfortable. i knew we were in the best hands possible. alan may be the leader, but he gets his hands just as dirty (pun intended) as the rest of his team. he stayed in the dumpster, combing through anything brought to him. cody, ira, eugene and the rest of the core team were incredibly meticulous, caring, careful and also tirelessly hard workers. they made two, what i thought were going to be miserable and emotionally wrenching, days into almost an interesting look into my uncle's life and what might have been going through his mind to get to the point we were at. always respectful, they kept the days light. in the end, alan's estimate was on point. while we exceeded his expectations when it came to tonnage, the cost was dead on. and while we found weapons, including loaded ones, we never felt unsafe. they were secured the whole time. i think the thing that struck me most was the professionalism. alan and the core team made us feel like this was 'normal'. hoarding is incredibly confusing and difficult for most to understand. alan was able to give us some insight into the disease and some peace as to why/how a person gets to that point. i cannot thank bio-one, alan, ira, cody, eugene and the rest of the team for the service they performed for myself, my family and late uncle.

We engaged the services of Bio-One to cleanup an extreme hoarding situation in our multi-unit complex. From our first contact with Alan and Ira we knew we were in the good hands of professionals who knew their business. They came down immediately to assess and then quote on the job. We were amazed how quickly and detailed their presentation was. The scope of the job was defined in detail. When we agreed they set up a date and time to begin. Alan was on site 30 minutes prior to the arrival of his crew. He not only went over again the details of the work but was completely in control as soon as the crew arrived. This was a complicated task involving high lift equipment to remove the highly contaminated contents but it went off without a hitch. The work was completed well within the time that we were told. Everything was cleaned up and not a trace of the enormous task that was performed was left. Thank you Alan, Ira and the crew of Bio-One !! I recommend this company very highly.

I recently discovered a family member was living in a deeply hoarded house that was not only stacked to the ceiling with trash and senseless stuff in most rooms but there were also biohazards present that needed to be addressed. I got estimates from 3 companies and choose Bio-One over the others even though their estimate was slightly higher. I am so glad that I followed my gut and I could not be happier. It all started with my first call. The owner answered the phone at 8pm at night and spent 30 minutes talking with me and answering my questions (that was impressive). I didn't get an answering service or a call center clerk. The owner personally came out to walk the house to give me a free estimate and to discuss the situation in greater detail to understand what we wanted to have done and he explained the process and what I could expect. His knowledge and experience gave me comfort and I finally took a deep breath. That night I had an estimate that addressed all my concerns and the work that needed to get done. The owner said that 40 years of accumulated stuff would be cleaned out in 2 days and we would have the house back- I didn't believe it was possible but sure enough it only took 2 days. The day of the clean out I was pleased by how professional the crew was. I was tentative at first to have a bunch of guys I didn't know digging around in the house because we knew my family member had some jewelry, cash, and a collection of coins somewhere in the house but nobody knew where. The crew chief and owner were at the house the entire time to be sure all went as planned. The crew handed me more than $2700 in cash and we found not only the jewelry box and coin collection but also some long forgotten family heirlooms, pictures and a loaded handgun that nobody knew was there! This company is honest, hardworking and knows what they are doing. If you are considering a company to clean out your home or have biohazards that needs to be cleaned properly I can't say enough about Bio-One and would not waste my time talking to anyone else.

A HUGE thank you to Alan and his team. I recently had to clear out a family property that had not changed hands in over 80 years. The last residents were also hoarders. It was certainly not an easy job. However, a job I had been dreading for 25 years was done in 3 days. Wow. And his team did a great job looking out for valuables and memorabilia. Alan was prompt and polite when he showed up to personally walk the site. We received a written estimate later that day that outlined how it would work, what it would cost, and how long the process would take. The only variable was what did we want to look out for. With minimal input, they did a great job of setting aside valuable and keepsakes, while quickly and efficiently dealing with the enormous volume of trash. I would not hesitate to recommend Bio-One SoCal to anyone.
