AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They are liars and thieves. Trust me- you do not want the headache that comes with this company's "work".
We had Thermoglaze out to refinish our tub about a year ago and they had some problems with their chemicals mixing, but came back the next couple of days to fix it and re-do the bad spots. A year later, the glaze is completely peeling off of half of our tub floor, the owner said he would come out to re-glaze it for us (he didn't), then offered a refund (he did not send it), then disappeared.
A few weeks ago, I began to call Thermoglaze about the feeling paint in the tub- I called probably 20 times, (VM box is usually full) and wrote into their form on the website. I then proceeded to post a negative review here- which must've caught his attention because he answered my very next call. When I FINALLY got ahold of them- Mark, the owner, admitted that a year ago they were having problems with the glaze adhering to the slip mats they install. He said that he would come out to re-glaze the tub and set a date and time. BUT FIRST, he wanted me to take down the negative review I had left. So I did, to comply and get the work done.
So the appointment day comes up- set for a Wednesday at noon. I get a Ring notification on my phone at 11am- its him. Neither of us are home to let him in. I answered the Ring but he just stared at it, stood there a minute then left. I attempted to call him immediately, and could not reach him the rest of the day. So later that day, MY WIFE leaves another negative review, on Yelp. Which magically got his attention again. He finally texts me back- asking if my wife wrote a review. I said yes- you missed our appointment, she is frustrated. He proceeds to tell me that it is not worth his time to "re-glaze my tub "FOR FREE" with a negative review up". Mind you, I paid for the work, it is apparently guaranteed for 10 years. Not exactly "free". So we reply back and fourth and he becomes completely unprofessional, borderline harassing via text and finally says- "I will mail you a check for a full refund and our business is done." I have tried to communicate with him several times since regarding the refund and once again cannot get ahold of him. We have not seen the refund, so now I am taking this time to warn as many people as I can about this company.
They will do a job that falls apart in a year, not uphold their guarantee, promise you a refund on it, and then disappear.
Read the other reviews here. I am not the only one accounting this kind of experience. There is a very negative trend of the EXACT same behavior.
