The "major name" alarm companies have a racket going. They lure you in with introductory offers then lock you in with excessive monthly fees and poor customer service. Just do some research and read the reviews. Alarm Grid is different. They have "Sterling" customer service, excellent tutorials on installation, and low, no-obligation fees. I paid more up front to purchase my equipment but will recover the costs in a year and then be saving a lot over time. I am a pretty competent do-it-yourselfer and took about three hours for a complete install that included tapping into my existing wired sensors. Everything worked perfectly and the youtube tutorials were spot on. I communicated about three times during the process by email and phone with Alarm Grid and always got prompt and courteous attention. I honestly haven't dealt with a more sincere customer service company in years. I hope it stays that way as the company grows.

Very responsive, very helpful. One of the few decent resources for someone trying to install a home alarm system themselves!I still get frustrated when trying to "google" DIY information for home alarm systems, especially any that utilize internet functionality. The support from Alarm Grid is one of the biggest reasons we went with them for our home monitoring (and the lowest price didn't hurt either!!).

Did a ton of research on home security before taking the plunge with a Honeywell Lynx L5100 for security, home automation, video surveillance. Wifi primary with GSM backup monitoring. Sterling's videos on YouTube are so clear and simple, they make the whole process a breeze. Their responsiveness to questions and issues is phenomenal. I cannot say enough about how these guys run their business. They should teach a Harvard Business School class on customer service and how to build a loyal following as a small, service oriented business.
