We will keep the treat jar open for your furry family members! Healing Hands Animal Hospital, L.L.C. was founded in December 2011 by Dr. Windham. After working as an associate veterinarian for several years, Dr. Windham saw a need for a patient care oriented facility that had a strong commitment to helping local animals and serving the public by providing exceptional care to all of our patients. We offer a complete in house laboratory capable of running full routine and emergency blood profiles and getting results in around 15 minutes. We also offer a state of the art digital radiology suite. This technology allows a radiograph (x-ray image) to be obtained and viewed in less than 10 seconds. Our lab and digital radiology suite allows us to quickly diagnose sickness in your pet and allows our treatments to be accurately aimed at your pet's medical condition. At Healing Hands Animal Hospital there is no need to wait 24 hours or longer for routine blood results and hours for x-rays. We also have board certified radiologists, internists, neurologists, and other specialists available via telemedicine to view all of your pet's lab results and radiographs. These doctors can provide specialized advice and diagnosis in less than 30 minutes when necessary. We are totally committed to providing the best medical care available to your pet. We strive to pass the standard of care and raise it to a new level. We offer all of the latest and most advanced diagnostics including P.C.R., c.P.L., viral isolation, culture and susceptibility with M.I.C., and many more.We also offer e-pet health portal that gives you, the pet owner, access to your pet's medical records 24/7 from any computer with internet access or a smartphone. This allows you to access your pet's medical records while on vacation or if you move to a different part of the country or world! Through this portal you can also get medications shipped to you, no matter your location, schedule appointments online, and receive email and text message reminders to notify you when your pet is due for vaccinations or other treatments. We are also an approved clinical instruction site for veterinary technician students at San Juan Community College in New Mexico and Jefferson State Community College in Alabama. Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine has also approved us as a clinical instruction hospital (preceptor site) for senior veterinary students to come and finish their clinical preceptorship before graduation. This allows the students to see real world cases and assist the doctors and clinical staff. At all times your pets care is overseen and treatments are performed only by a licensed veterinarian. Students are allowed to watch and learn and have treatments and diagnoses explained as they are occuring! We allow a learning environment for students in the veterinary technology programs and veterinary medical curriculum to observe the day to day operations and procedures performed in a progressive animal hospital. Being a pet oriented hospital is important to us but we want to make sure that you the pet owner are comfortable while visiting our facility too.
