Cole’s Greenwich Village embraces the roots of its storied Manhattan neighborhood. Guests can enjoy any one of three rooms for dinner or drinks: the Dining Room, the Café and The Bottle Room. The cocktail list includes revamped favorites like the sage sazerac with rye, absinthe, simple syrup, Peychud’s Bitters and sage, and the extra dirty martini with vodka, dry vermouth, olive brine, Cerignola olives, along with Cole’s originals such as the “27 Club” Manhattan with Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, sweet vermouth and tobacco bitters. Dinner at Cole’s Greenwich Village begins with starters such as Hudson Valley apple crostini, chopped root vegetable salad or hot flashed squid with chorizo, shishito and pimenton. Main courses are satisfying and flavorful; a double cut pork chop is accompanied with white polenta and fig jus agridolce and cod is served with celery root puree, lentils and salsa verde. An approachable and affordable wine list offers a variety of curated selections to accompany the meal.
