I made the big move from Hoboken to New York City and was pretty much TERRIFIED about what was going to happen to all my stuff especially my antique furniture. I spoke to Dan on the phone. He assured me that everything was going to be fine and that he would have his guys in and out and into the new place before i knew it. Not only was the crew pleasant to deal with they were lightning fast. They even managed to move my 8 foot breakfronts down 5 flights of stairs and they are HEAVY! Terrific company. This was a corporate paid move from New York to Baltimore, MD on April 30th of this year. We set everything up through Jennifer on April 15th and went over an inventory list and compared our in home estimates to that list and tweaked it over the next few days. Their quote was a little higher than one of the estimates and considerably lower than the other. We did not compile quotes from any other companies just the 3 mentioned and were pleased with all 3 companies’ level of service but chose New York VIP Movers based on reviews on this website and we also spoke with one of the owners, Mike Lenny. who was pleasant and really walked us through every question one might have pertaining to moving. After the conversation with Mike Lenny we placed our deposit and set the dates. May 29th or 30th with a preferred date of the 30th. Several days before the move we received a confirmation call from Mitchell in the customer care department letting us know that their crew would in fact arrive on the 30th in NewYork to pack and prep what they could and since it was a 3 man crew the entire process would most likely be done in 1 day. Natanel called the day before on the 29th and confirmed he would be there between 8am and 9am the next morning. They showed up a little earlier at 7:45 and did their thing like we couldn't believe and honestly had everything packed and loaded in 7 hours and it were a big shipment. They delivered 4 days later and absolutely nothing was damaged and looked like it had not even been moved at all. These guys are experts in every fashion and when Tim called to ask if we could post our review on their company, we couldn't off been happier to do it. Highly, highly recommended

I used NY Movers to move my 3 bedr 2 bath house from West New York NJ to Brooklyn 2 years ago. That was my first move in my live. The movers were very very nice to me, and so careful to my belongings. This July I called this moving company for my parents move from Miami to New York City. Everything went so smooth. I was moving localy from Uptown Manhattan to Fort Lee New Jersey, but I had a lot of stuff and furniture. I didn't want to pack or haul anything my self, so I hired moving company to help me.

Out of all the movers in the area I liked NY Movers the most. First of all I've already used them and also the Customer service lady gave me very reasonable price and sounded very professional during our phone communication.

The movers came on time and worked very hard and fast. They packed everything for me, wrapped my furniture and loaded the truck.

After the job foreman told me that I can also get a 4% discount if I'd pay cash instead of credit card, so I did.

First I checked the Internet looking for " New York movers" on Google and found NY Movers among 5 or 6 more Manhattan moving companies to check for my last weekend move from New York City Upper West Side to Tribeca area. The customer service guy his name is Alex gave me so great price on my move. Although I know that no move is easy, I didn’t expect this move to be. I had to move because of my boyfriend and that in itself was stressful for me. I went to their website and checked all the positive reviews posted by their customers on Google, Yahoo, Kudzu, Yelp, Judy's Book and Insider Pages, I'm kinda very choosy guy and I like to get the best service since I pay the price. Not only did he helped me to get an estimate. I was also able to ask a lot of questions regarding the company's moving service during the communication and also it was an effective way to create a household inventory because the customer service guy helped me to fill out the inventory list to make sure how many of each household item I had. He was very helpful and nice over the phone during our 30 min. conversation and he wasn't even mad at me despite it took me so long to get all the information and details regarding their service.

On moving day, the foreman and his movers arrived a little early, which was great. I was ready to get the show on the road. They handled all of my items with care and we arrived at my new home in a timely manner. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. My boyfriend was also comfortable with the movers.

Everything was also placed in the right rooms so that unpacking was easy. I didn’t have to play “musical boxes,” which I have had to do in the past with other moving companies. We hired NY Movers for our apartment move from Upper west Side NYC to Fort Lee NJ. On the day of the move we had to go for closing and we were absent for the day. I only explain what is going and that our stuff have to be out in 3 hours. Everything was under pressure but they took care for our furniture as they promise and we were able to focus only on the paper work. Very professional nothing was damaged. I will highly recommend NY Movers because the price is the best among other Manhattan moving companies and they treat you with like personal care.

My favorite part was how they wrapped my furniture. My dining hutch, fragile wood armoire and my white couch was wrapped in blankets and super sized plastic wrap along with some other valuable items. I have never seen that done before.They unloaded everything where I told them to, unwrapped the furniture and cleaned up the plastic and paper and left. That was so stress free, I was so pleased. I paid for the materials and the packing service separately, Of which they gave me a price quote for, also well before hand. That gave me time to check out places like Public Storage/ Post Office / Lowes and other packing places and they were indeed very affordable on the materials. I was told the price upfront and I had no changes or surprises upon delivery. (No extra cost for the plastic and blanket wrapping- that was standard and included in their move rates and the price quote).

I just moved with these guys of New York Movers. I first want to express how friendly their staff was; their foreman Mike, Chris and the other guy from the company's Customer service his name is Andrew were great. They arrived right on time and went straight to work wrapping my furniture and stacking boxes. They were fast, efficient and very professional and worked with care. This local moving company was recommended to me by a friend who had hired them twice previously and was very pleased. I called the Office and got a very competitive price quote after describing the job. They provided me with what they call an "All-inclusive, Flat-rate Quote”, you know in the beginning what price you will pay, no ugly surprises. When the guys finished my 2 bedroom move locally I paid $420 including tips, they didn't charge me for a travel time, no fuel taxes whatever and I will definitely call these movers again as well as recommend this moving service provider and consider them one of the Best local moving companies in the area. We had a terrific move with Remarkable from Manhattan to Brooklyn. It's always nerve-wracking putting all of your possessions into the care of strangers, but the team of movers was friendly, efficient, and careful with all of our stuff. ..
Remarkable wasn't the lowest cost of everyone we called, but they sent someone over to our house to give an official estimate and made me feel comfortable that we wouldn't end up being charged extra after all of our stuff was on the truck (that's happened to people I know before). Plus they were willing to come down a bit in price to make the deal. I felt like I got a reasonable price for moving a lot of stuff...
Our four movers--David, Danny Silver., Robert Dino, and Jerome Robinson--did a terrific job. Plus they were a great group of guys! They took great care with all of our furniture and wrapped everything very well, plus brought their own wardrobe boxes and packed up our hanging clothes and bedding for us.

The day of the move, Solano and his team of four showed up right on time. This was a very large move for us and also our first out of state move. I was transferred from New York City to California and had a company paid move and was given a list of Manhattan moving companies to choose from. We had 3 of them visit our place and storage unit on separate days and found 2 of them to be very professional and 1 just way out there both in pricing and form. After much consideration to both of the quality firms, we decided on NYC Movers for the relocation. Erica was the moving coordinator and she was by far the most knowledgeable and professional and took the time to run through everything that we should know whether we chose his company or any other for that matter. The move itself went very well, nothing was damaged or even scratched. I need to recommend these guys, it was a serious challenge and they did it right!

We received wonderful service from the first phone call to the quote to the final unloading! Wendy was a delight to work with and was friendly and patient. She assured us that everything was covered, that there would be no surprises, etc. and it was all true! We had 4 stops total and the two guys that were sent were careful, but hustled at the same time. We were impressed...the two movers obviously knew what they were doing, had been with the company a long time, had all the tools they needed and wanted to do a great job...which they did at each of the 4 stops. My girlfriends and I had our guy friends help us for our last move and we decided never again. Yeah it was free ( other than beer and pizza) but we paid for it with complaints and broken items. This time we knew we were going to have to pay, but we didn't know we were going to have it so easy. Anl really took care of business for us. Everything that we owned was in one piece and not only did they not complain, they seemed happy to help us...and yes I know that we were paying them, but its hard to find good customer service anywhere in this city. I have decided for all of my girls that we will use anl from now on.

Ny Movers was excellent from the first box that was put on the truck to the last box that was taken off. I was amazed at how fast the 5 guys worked and they kept up their pace all day. We had 2 trucks and moved New York City to New Jersey on a Friday afternoon in rush hour traffic. They still completed the job in less than 10 hours. I give them 5 stars. NJ Movers helped the husband and I move from a one bedroom/loft in Venice to a one bedroom in Brentwood exactly one month ago today. Good deal, on-time arrival at 10 AM as requested, super professional care, excellent service, friendly communication, efficient use of their time and our time.
FYI: Book early if you desire a weekend move - with almost a month in advance we still had to settle for a Thursday or a Monday. Considering the savings (compared to our previous moves with a national chain) however, they were definitely worth taking the day off work.
SUMMARY: We're glad we moved with this company and will more than likely be ringing them up within a year or two the next time we move. Thanks again, NJ Movers.

Moving is one of my least favorite things in life, perhaps tied along with going to the dentist. Unfortunately for me, I have to move almost as often as I go to the dentist, whether for school, work, etc. This time I decided I was not going to do this on my own and decided to hire some professionals. I called American trusted Movers - about 4 days before my move and they were able to get the time/day I needed with no trouble. The women who helped me were really friendly and asked all the right questions about my move so she could get the info she needed to the movers. I told her I had a couch that would likely have to be hoisted over the balcony because it wouldn't fit through the door, and she said that was no problem. I chose 3 movers for $ 105/hr (because 3 men were needed for the couch).
The morning of moving day, the movers showed up at the scheduled time. Once they got there, they worked quickly and efficiently, and were super friendly. They hoisted the couch over the balcony with no trouble at all, and shrink wrapped all my stuff to keep it protected. Then they drove from Pasadena to the storage unit in OC where my stuff was being stored. They got slightly lost, but didn't charge me for that extra time when it came time to settle the bill. All in all, the move couldn't have gone more smoothly, and they were super careful with all of my belongings. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

My experience with the NJ Movers was above and beyond anything I was expecting. I was prepared for a no-frills type of move--I'm low-maintenance and also saw prior reviews about potential gruff telephone interactions.
The person with whom I scheduled my move was incredibly pleasant and followed up a few days before the date to confirm. Everything went swimmingly from start to finish.
First of all, they were punctual, arriving at our apartment at exactly the time they said they would. There were three guys and they HUSTLED. They were literally jogging back and forth to make sure that it was the most efficient move possible. Even my boyfriend--who was somewhat skeptical of New York Moving, sight unseen--was very impressed.
As for price, was very affordable. Everything that was mentioned to me over the phone was the prices that were provided for me.

Normally I move myself but having just had knee surgery 3 months ago, moving my own things was impossible. Movers showed up on time, the guys that showed up Ron, Sam and Drew were polite and when they started working they simply did not stop until the job was done. Their price was very fair and they did an outstanding job. My movers also made sure to pick up any debris and removed my old boxes for me. I collected 2 moving quotes from this site. Both moving companies were good enough to arrange for a problem free move but I selected the moving company depending on their years of experience. The movers were really pleasant to work with. They picked us up as they were supposed to and also delivered on time. There was no major problems faced during the move. We will use New York Best Movers for our future move as well.

Our two movers, Granger and Robert, called before they came to let us know they were en route. They arrived on time at 9:10. They were polite and diligent, happy to take direction and to do the heavy lifting. They wasted no time, took no breaks. When it turned out that, due to a change in our service elevator's lighting fixture, our couch could no longer fit into it, they took it in stride and carried it up five flights of stairs. There was no extra charge for this unexpected change of plan. I would very happily hire these two men again. I waited until the day before the move to hire movers, but they had no problems accommodating my plans. Their workers were careful with everything and made excellent time. I was moving things from two different, distant locations (Kensington and Inwood!) to Bed-Stuy and they managed everything in under four hours. The movers were great guys, intelligent and very courteous. Nothing was broken or lost. In a word - excellent. I used New York Movers because I had used them before and been very satisfied with the service. This time, I was even more impressed with their care for my belongings. We had to move nothing but antique furniture that has been in my family for a number of years. Many of the pieces were over 100 years old. Some of them were very heavy and bulky. I was very nervous about this move because of the fact that we were dealing with antiques. An antique china cabinet was my biggest worry because of the bowed glass on the piece. If anything happened to that glass, it would be nearly impossible to replace. All of the pieces would be costly to try to replace or repair if they were damaged in any way -- and all of them held enormous sentimental value to me - so if they were harmed the emotional loss would also be great. When Mike and his crew arrived, I expressed my concerns to them, and they assured me they would be very careful and everything would be ok. They assessed the situation - we weren't moving everything from the house, and part of what we were moving was going to my condo while other items were going to storage. They got to work and began to carefully pack and wrap the antiques and move them carefully to the truck. Each member of the crew treated my precious antiques as if they were their own belongings.
