How can customers find my profile?
Customers can find your business profile on via
neighborhood search pages, on the business profiles of businesses you are
networking with, or by entering your business phone number into the
upper right corner box of any page. Customers may also bookmark your profile to
make it easier to visit later. Finally, customers can find your profile by
doing targeted searches in major search engines like Yahoo and Google.
How do I manage my Business Profile?
Click on the
Business Owners link located on the
lower left corner of any ShowMeLocal.com page. Login to the site if you are not
already logged in. You will be directed to the Business Management Area.
From there you can manage every aspect of your listing.
How can I remove my Business listing?
You can "pause" your business listing at anytime by
clicking "Pause" button on the Business Management Area located next to "Profile
Status".
If you want to permanently cancel your account please send us a request to support@showmelocal.com and we will remove your information in a timely manner.
Please note that while paused your listing will disappear from
customer pages.
Can you remove my address from a profile?
No. SML is specifically designed for local businesses, service providers (with a physical location) and their customers. This is why we display addresses in your business profiles.

Why should I tell my customers that I have a profile
on ShowMeLocal.com?
ShowMeLocal.com is designed to help local businesses
connect to local customers via the Internet. By giving your customer the
opportunity to be in touch with you, you are solving customer retention issues
as well as promoting word of the mouth marketing.
How I can tell my customers that I have profile on
ShowMeLocal.com?
We have made it easy for you! Click on the "Promote"
button on your Business Management Area to go to the pre-made flyer page.
Print out this flyer and give it to your customers.
I cannot see my Business Profile.
This is most likely because your profile is either not
activated yet or your profile is "paused".
You can "activate" your business listing at anytime by
clicking "Activate Now" button on the Business Management Area located next to "Profile
Status".

How can I modify my business information?
Go to the Business Management Area. Click All Settings. Go to the summary
of your Settings. Choose the business section you want to edit.
What are the business sections?
Business Sections are located in the settings menu on the right. For example:
Business Hours, Payment Options, Products.
What if I don't want to display a particular
business section?
Sections are only displayed if they contain text. To keep a section hidden,
simply do not add content to it.
