Click on the Business Owners link located on the lower left corner of any ShowMeLocal.com page. Login to the site if you are not already logged in. You will be directed to the Business Dashboard. Click on "edit profile" tab see image.

Your profile is optimized for search engine placement and your listing should appear on Yahoo, Google and other search engines. We can not guarantee 100% success but we are working very hard to achieve inclusion and higher ranking in search engines for our clients.

How do I register my business with ShowMeLocal.com?

To register your business, please go to Business Registration and enter the required information.

You don't have to pay anything to register your business with ShowMeLocal.com.

I did not receive a confirmation email, what should I do?

1. Add "donotreply@showmelocal.com" to your address book.
2. Go to Request Activation Form, enter your email address in the box and click "Send Activation". We will issue a new activation email. If you cannot locate the activation email from us, please check your spam/bulk folder and mark our emails as "no spam". If you are still experiencing problems please contact us at support@showmelocal.com

When I try to login, I receive a message that my account requires activation. What should I do? You must activate your account in order to use it. Read more.

How can customers find my profile?

Customers can find your business profile on via neighborhood search pages, on the business profiles of businesses you are networking with, or by entering your business phone number into the search box on any page where available. Customers may also bookmark your profile to make it easier to visit later. Finally, customers can find your profile by doing targeted searches in major search engines like Google and Yahoo.

I cannot see my Business Profile.

This is most likely because your profile is either not activated yet or your profile is "paused".

You can "activate" your business listing at anytime by clicking "Activate" button on the Business Dashboard located next to "Profile Status".

How can I upload pictures to my Business Profile?

Go to the Business Dashboard. Click on "Photos". Select an image and click upload.

I have received an invitation via email, what should I do?

Follow the instructions in the email and decide whether you want to "Accept" or "Reject" the invitation. Before making a decision, review the profile of the business that sent you the invitation.

Will my address be displayed on my business profile?

Yes. The Registered address of your business will be displayed on your profile unless you choose no to in the "preferences" located in Business Dashboard.
