Yes. It is standard procedure for RVT to conduct our own eye exams for our patients, new and current. This includes eye dilation. Dilation usually lasts about 4-6 hours. We recommend coming with a companion to drive you home, especially if this is your first visit. Dilation can impair everyone a bit differently. If you have any questions, please call our offices.
Retina & Vitreous of Texas does not provide prescriptions for glasses or contacts. We are completely focused on the back of the eye. That means we don't provide Lasik eye correction, cataract, or glaucoma treatment, either. However, we are happy to refer patients to these types of specialists if needed.
